Vegas For The Holidays: Get Your Holiday Shopping Done Too

Make sure to check all of the hotels, don’t just stick with the ones on the strip. You can look into the prices for the downtown hotels and those off strip. Ones off the strip often offer free shuttles to take you to the strip as part of their accommodations package. So you could save a lot of money by doing this. The key here is you need to be a smart shopper when it comes to finding an affordable room in Vegas.

In front of The fashion show mall you can’t miss the giant flying saucer they call The Cloud, and the giant multimedia billboards with constant video displays. Once inside, you have found the largest shopping experience in all of Nevada, with over 250 retailers anchored by 7 major department stores, and a large Food Court in addition to the regular restaurants.

The clubs are easy to get into and you can attend most shows half price and get great seats.

“I’ve only had great experiences. We’ve had a lot of people say, ‘Thanks, Barb.’ One guy said, ‘Oh my friend got one of these. They’re the greatest.’ We sometimes see people still carrying their bags around using them for their stuff because they’re heavy canvass-like bags.

What Else is There To Do – for thrills and chills try the Adventuredome Theme Park at 2880 Las Vegas Blvd. Over 25 rides and games will keep the kids busy for hours. There are several museums in Las Vegas. I loved the Auto Collection at the Imperial Palace. It’s the largest classic car collection and changes frequently as the cars are for sale. I’ve never seen so many beautiful Rolls Royces.

Here’s another option: As you walk through the casinos you’ll find hotel employees that mob you offering free venue tickets. If you’re willing to sit through one of their time-share presentations, you can score free tickets just for attending. Bribes include free dinner show or exhibition tickets for the entire family. Presentations can last anywhere from 1 to 2 hours and often involve the “hard sell” portion at the end. This is when you’d politely decline, get your tickets, then get the hell out of there!
