Bumpdate | Week 36

How Far Along:  36 weeks!  My doctors appointments are now happening on a weekly basis and I was surprised to learn at my latest appointment that I am 3cm dilated.  It basically means nothing - I could walk around at 3cm for weeks - but it just made it all seem very very VERY real.
Size of Baby:  Large cantaloupe
Maternity Clothes:  Just rotating through the same old dresses and trying to make them feel new by adding different accessories.
Symptoms:  So much pelvic pain - it almost feels as though I've pulled a muscle and is totally giving me the "pregnancy waddle".  But on a happier note I haven't been swelling as much the past few days!  It's weird and unexpected since it has been about a billion degrees out but I'll take it!
Best Moments:  Jay and I had such a productive and baby filled Labor Day Weekend!  The nursery is finally complete (well like 99% there - we still need to install some blinds) and it seriously looks better than I could have ever imagined.  I promise I'll do a post on that in the future!  We also washed all of Baby A's clothes (baby's first load of laundry obviously had to be documented) and got everything organized in his closet.  Last but certainly not least we installed his car seat!  Everything is pretty much ready for his arrival - I just need to pack a hospital bag and we will be good to go!  Speaking of - any suggestions for must-have items?  Items you brought but didn't need?  I'm a notorious over-packer but I'm really going to try and not over-do it so I'm not the weird lady showing up at the hospital with 103 bags.  No promises though.
Looking Forward to:  We have nothing going on this weekend so I'm looking forward to some R&R with the hubs and pup.  I feel like we really need to soak in these last few weeks of peace and quiet ;)

  1. How exciting! Once that car seat goes in and you are visiting the doctor once a week, things get real! Ha ha! Be sure to pack a cute going home outfit because you will get lots of pictures that day. Also, pack some real pajamas that button down the front. Those hospital gowns are awful, and you feel like a real person when you put your own clothes on. Get some rest this weekend while you can!!

  2. Oh you are getting so close!!!! How exciting! You look so amazing!

  3. Nursing tanks and a robe. I'm not usually a robe person, but my mom insisted that I should get one for the hospital...I kept telling her I didn't need one, but she got me one anyway, and it was the best packing decision I have ever made! Our room was freezing so it was super cozy, and it made nursing a breeze. I pretty much only took it off to shower. This is similar to the one I have

    Good luck!

  4. So so cute! This is so exciting!

  5. So cute, Danielle! Such an exciting time, so glad you are sharing it on your blog!

  7. How energizing! Once that auto situate goes in and you are going by the specialist once per week, things get genuine! Ha! Make sure to pack an adorable going home outfit since you will get loads of pictures that day. Likewise, pack some genuine nightgown that conservative the front. Those doctor's facility outfits are horrendous, and you feel like a genuine individual when you put your own garments on. Get some rest this end of the week while you can!!
