Lion King Nursery Inspiration

It’s no secret that I love animal print, so when I saw DisneyLion King bedding at Walmart, I just had to grab it.  I love that it incorporates safari prints and knew that it would look so adorable in a nursery.  I am a fan of nurseries that aren't overly cutesy or childish, so I really played up the animal prints in a sophisticated way.  This nursery theme would work for both little girls or little boys!
How cute are the animal print letters?  They are a quick, fun and cheap DIY and a great way to personalize any space!  I got all of the supplies right at Walmart.  It cost under $15 for the whole project and took me about 15 minutes from start to finish.  Want to create some decoupage letters yourself?  Here's what you'll need:
 SUPPLIES
1 - Scrapbook paper
2 - Foam brushes
3 - X-Acto Knife
4 - Mod Podge
5 - Wooden letters
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1:  Use the foam brush to paint the Mod Podge onto the front of the wooden letter.  Make sure the whole letter is covered.
Step 2:  Place the wooden letter Mod Podge side down onto scrapbook paper
Step 3:  Using the X-Acto knife, trace around the wooden letter cutting the scrapbook paper
Step 4:  Remove the paper you have cut off and admire your creation!
That's it!  It's really so simple - you could even get your kiddos involved for an arts & crafts project.  To compliment the Lion King theme, I chose the word "ROAR" - but this project would also be adorable with your little one's first name.
Have you seen the Disney Baby collection at Walmart?  Aside from Lion King, they also carry favorites like Nemo and Cinderella! You can check out the whole collection online here, or in your local Walmart store!

  1. His nursery is so adorable. I love the safari/animal print. I would have expected nothing less from you (I mean that as a compliment). Love that this can be gender-neutral, also.
