Bumpdate | 18 Weeks

How far along:  18 weeks (4.5 months) as of 4/30
Size of the baby: Sweet Potato
Gender:  Baby Boy!  You can see all the details from our Gender Reveal here
Maternity clothes:  Ok so this category is admittedly boring right now, but I promise things will start picking up and I'll share all my fun maternity finds!  I'm really starting to pop (yay!) so I'm going to be on the hunt for some bump-friendly dresses soon!
Craving:  Nothing in particular but I have noticed that I've been getting hungry more often.  I feel like I am constantly eating!  My favorite snack right now is the Chobani Indulgent yogurts.  So far I've tried the mint and the raspberry and both are so delicious and at least somewhat healthy.  Thanks to my girl Biana over at B Loved Boston for introducing me- they are positively sinful.
Symptoms:   Fatigue and congestion - the usual

Looking forward to: Our ultrasound on Friday!! I can't wait to see how much our little dude has grown and am so excited to see him moving around.  I've been thinking so much lately about what baby boy will look like.  Will he have dark features like his momma or be fair like his daddy?  Will he be born with a head of hair or bald as a cue ball?  We will have to wait until October to find out but it is so fun to speculate!
Best moments:  I was browsing Pinterest looking for nursery inspiration (a daily occurrence) and out of the complete blue I had a "holy crap we are going to have a baby" moment.   I don't know if it is the lack of pregnancy symptoms (no complaints!!!) or because it is still kind of early on, but until now it hasn't really sank in that Jay and I are going to be parents.  Most of the time it still doesn't feel real - even as we are tossing around the idea of names and ordering fabric swatches for his nursery part of me feels like I am planning for someone else's child.  I keep waiting for it to hit me in a big way - like one day I'll wake up and it will all seem very real.  I'm just not sure if that will ever really happen until I'm holding him in my arms!

Speaking of nursery inspiration, we've decided on a vintage airplane theme.  It was actually Jay's idea and I totally fell in love with it.  My mom has generously offered to make all of baby boy's crib bedding and curtains so now I just have to figure out the fabrics I want to use.  Below are some of the swatches I'm considering - any faves?!

  5. Loving that nursery inspiration! I think that will be such a fun theme! I love the map fabric and the one with the planes! The good news about nursery bedding is he will need quite a few items, so why not mix some fabrics?!
