House Hunting is nothing like "House Hunters"

Hi loves!  I have been totally off the blogger grid lately. The hubs and I have finally started house hunting, which I thought I was prepared for since I've watched countless hours of HGTV over the years.  But let me tell you, the process has been nothing like House Hunters I was totally delusional and went into things expecting I would see 3 potential houses, have a day or two to chat with the hubs and parents about the pros and cons of each, and then put in an offer.  Yeah, that's not how things work in the real world - or at least not in the suburbs of Boston.  The market in this area is CRAZY and so competitive.  You basically have to be ready to put an offer down the second you see something you like.  I am the most indecisive person in the world- and this is the biggest investment of our lives - so making such a big decision without having so much as a night to sleep on it has really taken a toll on me.

Long story short, we spent all last weekend running around viewing houses with our realtor, so I didn't get a chance to take any proper outfit pics - so excuse the horrible quality mirror selfies.   And if you have any house hunting advice, do tell.  This process might be the death of me.

If you've been wanting a pair of Hunters, run (virtually, of course) to Zappos.  The red ones I have are on mega sale!! *Update* these were available for $97.99 in EVERY size when I published this post like 10 mins ago.  They've since been removed and/or sold out.   Boo!

Sweater - J.Crew Tippi (buy here on sale, love this option with elbow patches) | Plaid Shirt - GAP (similar option, bargain option) | Hunter Boots - Buy here on SALE!!! | Denim - GAP (buy similar options here and here) | Pearls - J.Crew Factory (buy similar options here and here) | Crystal Necklace - Mindy Mae's Market | Watch - Burberry (buy here)

    1. Haha - I toyed with the idea of using a "hunters" and "house hunting" play on words but couldn't think of anything clever. Thanks for the well wishes! xoxo

  2. love this outfit - the red hunters are fab! I lived in Boston for a while and can only imagine what the house hunting process is like. good luck! I can relate to your struggles with indecisiveness but I can tell you that when you find one that fits your ideas (as long as that might take - we looked at soooooo many houses) you'll be totally okay with jumping on it without so much as a nights sleep. good luck!

  5. I just watched a whole marathon and House Hunters and My First Place, so addicting! But much more fun to fantasize than to actually be in that position I'm sure. I hope it goes smoothly for you, it's worth it in the end! Love the red Hunters, my shiny black ones have been begging for a buddy but in Los Angeles a girl really only needs one pair. (for now ;)

  7. House hunting can be debilitating yet in the event that done right it doesn't need to be. Consider utilizing this house hunting agenda whenever you go house hunting. Take into consideration the time it takes to see every house. You would prefer not to book excessively numerous houses in one day.
